Once upon a time.......on a cold winter's night, 10th Dec 2012 to be precise, two faithful supporters, Donald Wilson and James Dunbar, decided, on a whim, as these things often are, to go to the AGM of Nairn County Football Club. They heard the Chairman, Peter Mackintosh Snr, tell those attending that the club was debt free and he went on to outline the plans the club had for the future, in particular, the ground improvements they hoped to carry out: to the stand, dug outs and the Cow Shed. He mentioned how NCFC could get a grant award from the Scottish Football Partnershiptowards these improvements but NCFC had to raise funds first. At this point wheels started to turn and the intrepid supporters began to mull over how they could help. From these mullings the Nairn County FC Supporters Ground Improvement Fund was born and the journey began...........Donald Wilson came up with the first fund raising project, the Panel Beaters campaign and many of the other supporters have also been busy and have come up with some interesting ways of fundraising! So far, a variety of one off events are planned over the next few months and more information about these can be found here. Other events will be ongoing such as the Auctions and Panel Beaters.Come back often to check what’s happening but don’t wait too long as events, Whisky Tasting Masterclass and the Ceilidhfor example, sell out quickly.Whether a fan or not, you too can play your part by supporting the Club and the numerous events being organised by the supporters. If you can’t make it to any of the events you can still make a donation or contribution, see here for details.Come along with us and be part of this journey! We Believe!UPDATEThe review of 2013 is available here.
